Insphero AG
INSPHERO employs 21 associates and is located at the Biotechpark Zürich Schlieren. InSphero works with 10 out of the global top 15 pharmaceutical and cosmeticscompanies to implement its 3D microtissue models into the customer’s developmentworkflows. The company introduced to the market the first heterotypic 3D primary rat and human liver microtissues in March 2011 and 2012.
InSphero’s research facility comprises 400m2 with lab and office space. The research facility is divided in R&D labs with respectively histological and biochemical analytical instruments. Its core facility is the BSL2 cell culture lab equipped with 4 biosafety hoods, 6 incubators and an automated microtissue production line using a Hamilton Startlet robotic liquid handling system. As a spin-off company from the ETH Zürich and the University of Zürich it has access to all core their facilities such as the imaging facility or the functional genomics center.
